Doctor Felix F. Blaser, 32nd Indiana
By Michael A. Peake

Doctor Felix Blaser, of Worthington, Indiana, mustered into the 32nd Indiana as First Assistant Surgeon on August 25, 1862, just after the Army of the Ohio began the retrograde movement from Northern Alabama to Louisville, in pursuit of Bragg’s Army of Mississippi during its ill-fated invasion of the Bluegrass State. Blaser remained with the 32nd Indiana until just after the battle of Stones River, when he resigned due to disability.
